Default Looking for decent headphones

Need some for use with Vent. Guildies want to here my brit accent apparently. Must connect via USB though, as I don't think my microphone jack works.

Price isn't an issue, but I like good value for my money.

Thanks

I bought some for temporary use from Wal-Mart. It was the Skype headset and they actually work extremely well. Fifteen bucks too.

Just recently bought some dynex noise canceling headphones from best buy and they actually work pretty well despite only being $25. I got a couple backup pairs though incase they dont work out the way that I hope they do, always got skullcandy to fall back on! Hurray WARRANTY!

Hope this helped ^^

I would go for something from either Sennheiser or Koss. They are a bit expensive, but are sure worth its cost.

Should state I'm not in the US shouldn't I.

I'll look into the brands mentioned though.

Thanks.

they're awesome, I just picked up my second set after breaking off my mic a week or so ago. SQ is amazing. The only downside is the feel heavy and "hang" on your ears which can become annoying after a while.

You just enter text into the chat field ^^

If you are talking about voice chat though then you would need to get another program like ventrilo or teamspeak so that you can communicate with a mic etc.

Hope this helped ^^

Vent or team speak.

You need to be in a guild with one of those. Or, you pay for the server yourself.

I am sure those are the best ones your money can afford. I bought them for 100€, but I think now they are cheaper.
Have in mind buying also a decent sound card (if you dont have one) and plz don't buy USB based headphones. The sound quality isn't the same as the traditional 3,5mm audio jack.

US products are no good to me. Plus, that is a tad extreme for my purposes. I'm no hardcore gamer. I play GW on the weekends, that is it pretty much.

Diddy - I had a look at those, they seem the best option so far.

I would avoid the logitech "gamer" headset. The behind the head design is very uncomfortable in my experiance, because of the design the headset feels like a giant weight on the back of the head, not to mention the squeezing on my ears AHHH!

I would also avoid all the cheap 20$ or less logitech headsets they are all really poorly made. The wiring is done very poorly. The wire itself is very thin and extremely fragile.

After my bad experiances with the logitech headsets I decided to not trust them again. Logitech makes awesome gear the G15, G5, G7, G9, but for some reason they can't create good audio devices.

I love the Microsoft LifeChat LX-3000 Headset (http://www.amazon.com/tag/livechat). The cord is very durable, I have ran over it with my chair multiple times and it has yet to be damaged. The headset sound quality is amazing. These things are so comfortable sometimes I forget I am wearing them. The leather padding around the speakers also contributes to the comfort, it feels like a small pillow. What I really love about this headset is that it covers your whole ear, so you don't get the "squeeze" factor from other headsets, and the audio sounds better. I also love how adjustable the headset it, you can move the mic around wherever you want it, which is useful when I listen to music I put the mic up. The band can be adjusted to a wide range of head sizes.

Gamer headsets are a marketing rip-off. Its just a shitty pair of headphones with a clip on mic attached. Literally.

I don't think any of these headsets are USB - does such a thing exist?

Oh yes, quick Amazon search - More Logitech bins

Never tried USBs - are you sure your headphone socket is farked? You're running a pretty extreme system. Mine has so many potential sockets, it's frightening (X-Fi Fatal1ty). The connections are such that the case's front facing headphone ports can't be used - mine are connected round the back instead.

I had a pair of these http://www.amazon.co.uk/Logitech-980...d_sbs_ce_img_6

What ever I did I just couldn't get them to work. I'm putting it down to the jjack. If the USB pair doesn' work either, I'll be sending it back to be sorted. If I do that it leaves me without a gaming rig for a week or two.

DO NOT by the headphones made by Razer. They are the biggest piece of crap made by man!

btw, I have a strong opinion on that!
